DescriptionLarge salt-glazed stoneware tankard, with metal handle and straps around top and bottom of tankard. Two-coloured, top being reddish and bottom half clear. Decorated with applied stag hunt around bottom half and with house on both sides, trees and square raised panel with drinking scene on front of tankard. Impressed wording 'Spurgeon' on one side, 'Sudbury 1780' below square drinking scene and 'Jer. h' on other side. Original handle has broken off and been replaced with the metal one.
