dress, afternoon dress

Black satin afternoon dress with net overdress. Decorated with white silk daisies and wine coloured dragonflies. Tunic style & net overdress with embroidered white silk daisies and wine coloured dragonflies & round neck & belted & 3/4 length set-in sleeves bodice fastens at both shoulders & skirt reaches to within 4in at back, not sewn down at sides & press stud fasteners on each shoulder & net of overdress curves upwards at front to top of thighs on the left side & black satin waist belt draped and lined with wine coloured silk (not meshing), fastening at left with free flowing 'tail'.Dated about 1919-20.
