brazier, candle holder

Delftware tin-glazed table brazier or candle holder., Octagonal body and base, decorated with blue and white marble-effect on two panels and painted scene of man in horse-drawn cart on 3 panels. Opening in back of burner to admit candle/incense holder in form of a cup (IPSMG: R.1924-12.4A). Upper part of panels are pierced with heart-shaped apertures. Overhanging upper rim is decorated with marble-effect in blue and white.
