Tin-glazed French delft (faience) revolutionary plate or dish, with hand-painted blue, green, yellow and orange design consisting of a revolutionary trophy or emblems at centre of cartouche with wording 'Liberte Egalite Fraternite'surrounded by leaves, implements atop with date '1793' and with 3 blue fleur-de-lys at bottom, with wording 'Le peuple c'est le maitre'. Elaborate floral and scroll border design, 'J.J.' or 'F.F.' painted in manganese purple on base
