Club, stone-headed club made of wood, plaited vegetable fibre collars and a roughly carved stone head. Stuck on red label: 'Layard collection'. Marked on object in white ink '1979.35'. Roughly carved shaft. Register describes it as 'A child's club with which boys were made to strike dead bodies to make them brave'.
