Ipswich Collections

This Anglo Saxon comb example with 'horns' is thought to be of Frisian design. Two central bars on one side hold the pieces of the comb together with rivets through to a back plate on the other side. Part of the back plate and one of the bars are partly broken off the comb and are missing. Many of the teeth are also missing. Part number assigned as part of the Collections Information Programme 2016-2017
