Shield made of softwood, curved at both ends with traces of red and white pigments. Front convex and reverse with handle cut into the solid. Purchased from Mr John Jennings, dealer of Holborn, London. Marked on reverse in white ink: '1924.21.2' and in black ink: 'DLJ 825.77'.
