Breeches from the uniform of Colonel of Loyal Colchester Volunteers. c.1810-1830s.Cream leather breeches. High waist (higher at back than front). Waist fastens centre front with three self-covered buttons. Adjustable back with three leather ties. Small-fall front, fastening with two small sel-covered buttons. Two large hip pockets with button fastening. Small watch pocket in centre right front. Two decorative buttons either side of centre front and back. Calf length legs with four button fastening opening at bottoms with tie. Decorative tie on the back of each leg.
