ОписаниеA turned wooden coffee grinder or mill. The history of coffee is one of politics and exploitation. Its trade played an important role in the fortunes of European empires. Coffee is originally from Ethiopia in Africa, but areas in Asia, the Caribbean and South America became coffee-growing nations due to European colonies. Enslaved people from Africa were forced to work large areas of land, known as plantations, for growing coffee plants. In 1840, Britain imported over 30 million kilograms of coffee, enough to make three billion cups.
