Colchester Collections

This glass bowl is etched with 'Loyal Colchester Volunteers' and the Borough Arms. It has been further engraved with the year 1797 and the initials C.A.C. The initials are those of Lieutenant Charles Alexander Crickett who was promoted to Captain on 26th April, 1798.A second company of the Loyal Colchester Volunteers was added to which Lieutenant Charles Alexander Crickett was promoted Captain on 26th April, 1798.
