ОписаниеThe board game known as Snakes and Ladders originated in ancient India. It was called Mokshapat or Moksha Patamu and taught children Hindu morals. The ladders started on squares with a virtue, or positive behaviour, while the snakes started on squares representing an evil. The game was brought to Britain in the 1800s by colonial rulers and adapted to the game we know today.
