Colchester Collections

This blue glass decanter has been decorated by 'hot gilding'. It is inscribed with 'Loyal Colchester Volunteers' and the Borough Arms. It has been further inscribed with the year 1797 and the initials C.A.C. The initials are those of Lieutenant Charles Alexander Crickett who was promoted to Captain on 26th April, 1798.
