bodice, bodice

Lilac silk satin bodice with braid and silk covered bead detail. Circa 1850s/60s. High neckline with braid trim and silk thread covered hanging beads & full length sleeves with same trim around cuffs and armholes & centre front opening with ten buttonholes (buttons are missing) and brass hook and eyes - one at top and four at the bottom & front bodice shaped by darts and boning, two on each side at front and one on each side underarm & internal bust enhancers & back of bodice has piped line from armholes to centre back & cream cotton lining & internal belt coming from side waist that fastens with two brass hook and eyes.
