Bodice of black ribbed silk rosette leaf motifs and lace detail. 1870(?). V neck decorated with silk and bobbin lace collar & close fitting sleeves, forearm decorated with 3 rosette leaves with lace frill at cuff & centre front fastening with four individual rosette leaves, closes with 5 hooks and eyes & shaped back for bustle with inverted v, rosette leaf motifs repeated all the way up centre back. Bottom hem with pleated ribbon and black lace frill detail. No lining.
