dress, ball dress

Ball dress or black and cream net, with appliqued silk flowers. 1936-37. With black court shoes with heels studded with imitation brilliants (slightly earlier than dress).Long ball gown with lace top layer and rayon lining & vee neck & sleeveless & front and back bodice cross over under each arm & black upper, changes to cream below knee level, with printed silk applique flowers at junction of black and cream & two underskirts attached & belt of matching net & fastens with self covered buttons and loops at centre back.
