Edwardian wedding dress of mauve ribbed silk with lace, french knot and satin detail. 1913.made by bridetop half: high neck with stand-up collar of chemical lace supported with silk covered zigzag wire stiffening & lace insert on the front chest area of bodice, edged with wide satin bands, each fastened with a silk covered button front and back & long close fitting sleeves, shaped at the elbow and lined, and with 5 silk covered buttons on forearm, and with lace and 11 buttons at wrist & inner bodice that fastens with hook and eyes & dress fastens by poppers down the front left hand side, from the neck to the hiplower half: flared skirt, top stitched onto bodice at waist, with A Line cuts to seams making fullness & pleats at back & 9 silk buttons on left side above hem & deep hem held up by French knot embroidery all the way around & skirt is fully linedsash: pleated satin blue waist sash & fastens at waist with hook and eyes & each end finished with french knots and five satin covered ball tassels (one missing)
