hat, hat

Close fitting woman's hat of fur (?) and wool velour without a brim. Crown is of a blue-green colour decorated with a knotted small length of the same fabric on the right side. A darker green band of velour which is wider at the front and narrows to the back trims the bottom of the crown. The front of the hat is edged in a cream velour which slightly turns up. The bottom edge of the hat is strengthened with wire. The inside of the hat is unlined with a dark green narrow Petersham sweat band which the makers label is sewn to. Labelled 'Trikki by Edna Wallace of Mayfair, London'. Circa 1930's.
