Knee length blue coat with braid detail. Labelled 'A Genuine Marlbeck Tailor Made'. Shop label 'A and E P Baker'. Circa 1930s (worn by miss e bannister (died 1965 aged 89)) Form: Navy blue wool crepe coat with twill lining & calf length & front section, each side in two panels & rounded lapels with braid detail & three close set decorative buttons at semi fitted waist & internal pocket at the waist & fitted arms with cuff detail (similar to lapels) & lining with cream border detail & internal tie closure & four vertical panels on the back divided by braided inserts.
