Black velvet cape with couched and embroidered decoration and substantial ostrich feather trim around the edges & collar with similar decoration & darts to shape the shoulders & four hook and eyes all the way down the front opening & black velvet ribbon ties at the neck & black silk satin quilted lining with four pockets - two gathered at waist level and two lower, larger ones. 1897-1898
