suit, skirt suit

Lady's suit. Old Gold coloured cotton barathea suit, consisting of a fitted jacket with 5 buttons and a pleated skirt. 1948-1950. Jacket: hip length jacket with round opening at front & inset full length sleeves with button on each cuff & five plastic buttons to fasten at front & two curved pockets, each with four button decoration & fitted around the waist & shoulder pads & lined with pink rayon lining. Skirt: Calf length skirt with pressed pleats all the way around joined onto a petersham waistband with a bark brown tape & zip fastening at side with hook and eyes & unlined.
