hat, feather hat

Close fitting hat with a rounded shallow shape which is asymmetric, rounded on the left side and coming to a triangular pointed shape on the right. It is decorated all over with dark blue dyed feathers which overlap and sweep forward from back to front and come down over the bottom edge. Shape created by stiffened mesh fabric (buckram?). Lined in dark blue rayon and with a length of hat elastic sewn on each side of the inside. Circa 1955-1960.
