Nightdress of white cotton lawn, with short sleeves, V-neck and 4 covered buttons. For a very slight woman. 1910-1912. Possibly part of a trousseau with 1971.3.1-.2, 1971.5.1-.3. White cotton lawn nightdress with vee neck. Upper bodice constructed from pin tucked panels and different types of lace strips finishing at a waist band slotted for ribbon (similar front and back). Centre front opening to hips that fastens with four buttons. Short sleeves, full and gathered at the shoulders and cuffs, with a central strip of lace. Sleeves finish with same ribbon as waist and a lace trim. Plain skirt, gathered into waist, with French side seams that have triangular gores.
