hat, straw hat

Beige plant fibre 'straw hat' with a narrow brown ribbon around the crown and a brown ribbon on the front. With a brown lining. Stamped inside "Cannon". 1930s. Construction - sheet of woven plant fibre made into a hat, not woven hood. Twill weave. Originally light beige colour, discoloured to dark gold. Ribbon has faded from dark brown to tan brown. Lining of gold brown rayon. 1930s.
