hat, felt hat

Brown wool felt hat shaped crown which narrows to the top and is on an angled slant higher at the front and to the right. The brim is wider at the front and sides than at the back where it turns up. Crown is decorated with a lighter brown and black woven braid which is turned over on itself at the front and with a flattened bow at the back. Dyed orange cut feathers decorate the front and come out of the twist in the braid. Crown has been cut and re-sewn (probably at home) to shorten the height. Piece of narrow black elastic sewn on each side of the inside. Remains of a stamp (makers label?) in cream on the inside of crown. Circa 1935.
