Dark blue hat of narrow raffia braid machine sewn together in an overlapping spiral with a narrow brim. High crown decorated with navy blue rayon (?) Petersham ribbon which is pleated at an angle at the front secured with a navy blue plastic shell shape with etched lines and toothed edges. No lining but sweat band around inside of crown with maker and shop names printed in gold. Hatband inside printed in gold with 'Lynwood Rgd' and 'Made expressly for Silthorpe's, Tunbridge Wells'. Early 1920s? (Navy Bangkok?)
