Summer coat of natural shangtung silk with large scalloped stitched design on collar and pockets. Sleeves have a scalloped fin extending slightly up the arm. Long sleeves. Three front fastening buttons missing. Circa 1931. Possibly worn with dress 1977.45?? For tropical wear? Front edges turned back inside, collar with revers. Shoulder yoke at back only, front shaping in fr.. front by darts. Sleeves ending in 1 1/2 in turn-back cuffs, with a frill just above each cuff. Two shantung pockets formed by semi-panel of skirt is rather complex. Fastenings: three buttons and holes and a jigger button and loop.
