Beige wool bobbled cape with red ribbon tie and dark salmon pink lining. Circa 1880-1910. Cape consisting of cape, collar and hood & beige wool outer layer - double strands of wool cross each other diagonally and horizontally - where they cross diagonally they are held with a small pompom of wool - the pompoms then form straight lines horizontally and vertically all over & edged with larger pompoms & large hood hangs down the back with red lining & collar stand up with same red lining & cape shaped for shoulders and lined of red wool/cotton winciette & tie of bright red grosgrain silk.
