Evening jacket of black wool, part of evening suit consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers. Labelled `Stewards Ltd. The King Tailors, branches everywhere.' Circa 1920s. Black wool barethea evening jacket & turn down collar with silk lapels & full length sleeves with three black silk covered buttons at the cuffs & single breasted, with two connected buttons that allow the front edges to just touch & left breast pocket, curved up to the left & two hip pockets with self bound opening, one with a small internal pocket (contains small quill) & plain back & quilted chest lining & inside breast pocket.
