Waistcoat of black wool, part of evening suit consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers. Circa 1920s. Turn down collar and lapels (swallow tail style?) & single breasted with three button fastening - buttons are black silk covered & front opening cuts away to form two points at the bottom front & two hip pockets & back is of black cotton sateen with adjustable back waist belt with metal buckle & small slit up back & inside back and pockets lined with cream cotton sateen.
