Pair of pale yellow knitted wool jersey camiknickers. Labelled 'Smedley's Jay'. Circa 1930s. Same as 1994.44[.1] (From?) Box of ladies under vests. Never worn. Cost 17/9d each (label on strap) Pale yellow knitted wool jersey camiknickers & thin rayon ribbon straps & atin thread chainstitch decoration around top of bodice & wavy diamond pattern above the waist & vertically ribbed waist section, 100 mm deep & plain knit below the waist & legholes at top of thigh level, with satin thread chainstitch decoration & gusset fastening with two buttons, gusset lined in white rayon.
