petticoat, waist petticoat

White cotton waist petticoat with four tucks and a deep band of broderie anglais at the hem. Crinoline style. 1860s circa. White cotton waist petticoat & 90 - 95mm deep waistband with a vee at the front & fastens at back with two self covered buttons & skirt is loosely gathered on to front of waistband, and pleated on to the back & bottom of skirt decorated with four tucks above a band of broderie anglais decorated with large diamonds formed from cut out elipses.
