ring, finger ring

A copper alloy ring with square bezel. On the bezel is an annulet shaped recess. The annulet would have been inlaid with glass or precious stone.This ring was selected for the Wicked Spirits exhibition as it relates to objects being worn for magical protection. Rings with precious stones in were sometimes believed to have magical properties and the annulet symbol also had magical meaning to some.
