handle, knife handle

A bone knife handle with the remains of an iron blade. The handle is composed of an iron tang, which has been pushed into a groove made into part of a long bone. The tang only sits half way down the handle and is held in place by two iron rivets. Below the last rivet a V has been incised into the bone on one side. The handle is broken in two. The blade is corroded and incomplete
