plaque, votive plaque

Replica of an inscribed Roman plaque. The inscription translates as : "Lossio Veda, a Caledonian and grandson of Vepogenus set up this gift at his own expense to the god Mars Medocius of the Campaneses and the victory of our emperor, the pious and fortunate Alexander". The original is in the British Museum.
