Paddle made of wood, plain with flat blade. Crack along its blade and a hole drilled for suspension. Stuck-on label: '1938-1.93'. Marked in pencil: 'New Zealand' and incorrect registration number. May have been a working paddle rather than a ceremonial paddle which usually have carving and pigmented designs.
