Barnes Epergne

A silver Epergne (dining table centrepiece) presented to John Stuck Barnes (1806-1887), Clerk of the Peace, by Colchester Corporation in 1866. Made by Edward Barnard & Sons of London, 1865 Hallmark. The epergne has a triangular base with 3 female figures representing Justice, Prosperity and Industry.
