Two gouache sketches of details from an illuminated manuscript on beige paper which has been folded in half. The first depicts a bird with outstretched wings on an elaborate background and handwritten underneath is 'Italian /15th century'. The second is in dark blue and red in the form of a B with scroll design running from both the top and the bottom.
