Eight gouache sketches of heraldic shields. There are two larger shields at the top in black, dark red and yellow. Six smaller shields are below in blue, dark red and grey. Handwritten in the top left hand corner is 'Heraldry', in the top right hand corner 'J.Sadler'. Below the two larger shields are handwritten pencil notes and on the reverse are further handwritten pencil notes regarding the colours.
