pot, Ipswich ware

Ipswich ware- grey Anglo-Saxon coarse ware pot. The pot has a flat base, globular body and a raised lip. This pot is whole. Mrs G ST John of Bacton Grange Nursing Home, aged 84 in 1996, states that they were found in the churchyard when she was a little girl. Mrs St John was at one time Patron of the Parish. Part number assigned as part of the Collection Information Programme in line with Conservation records.
