.A finds are from Pit 1 in Broadway Field, Grimstone End. .8 Anglo-Saxon bone tapestry needle. At one end, the needle keeps the shape of the original bone from which it was made, and has a hole pierced through it. The needle tapers to a sharp point at the other end. At the sharp end, there is evidence of previous repair - it appears that the whole of the sharp point was at some point reattached.
