calabash, vessel, covered bowl

Calabash bowl carved and painted and incised with floral motif decoration. The bowl has a cover which is the top section of the calabash and this is attached to the bowl section of the calabash with strips of cotton cloth. There is a twisted metal loop at the top of the cover.
