A Shipwreck on a Rocky Coast

Purchased from Finborough Hall with the assistance of the Felix Cobbold Bequest Fund in 1935. This painting was wrongly attributed to B de Vlieger and is actually by Jan Porcellis with the assistance of Simon de Vlieger. Conservation was kindly funded by the Angels in the Friends of the Ipswich Museums and Suffolk Art Friends.
