Whieldon ware earthenware rectangular tray, decorated with green, blue, brown and yellow bursts that have spread into a deep greenish grey surround on centre front. Sponged and merged greenish glaze on a cream background on reverse of tray. Effect continues over sides of tray. Possible evidence of former handles on each end of tray.
