The Mill Stream

First published by Constable, in the third number of the English Landscape series, 1831. This print was published by Bohn in 1855. The subject was first selected in February and begun in May 1831. Framed up with typescript giving these details and referring to C.R. Leslie's Life of Constable and signed by H. Yates Thompson, May 3rd 1888. He purchased the original oil in the Ipswich collection in 1888. Presented by the National Art Collections Fund in 1941.
