'Erected on the Cornhill, Ipswich September 29th, 1906, by Suffolk people as a Memorial to Suffolk Soldiers who lost their lives in the South African War, 1899-1902', 'From the statue by Albert Toft'. On the reverse the postcard is marked 'Christchurch Series' and was not posted.
