bottle, flagon

Large stoneware beer bottle or flagon. Black screw-threaded stopper at the top with inscription on top 'Kirby's Mineral 5 Ipswich'. The body of the flagon is printed with 'This is the property of/ C.B. Kirby / The Brewery / Hervey St. Ipswich'. Cylindrical body with sloped shoulder and lopped handle which are all light brown glaze, rest of lower bodty is buff-coloured., impressed maker's mark on shoulder 'Price Rowell and Co / 23 / Bristol' within an oval
