wooden 'Nuremberg' microscope with pastboard tubes, divided by turned polished wooden sections on wooden stand. Three extending tubes, the inner ones covered in coloured paper, the outer one in shagreen (sharkskin). The instrument mounted on a wooden stand, with a weighted base. The microscope swivels backwards and forwards so that the maximum light can be reflected through the slide from a small swivelling mirror at the base.
