Anglo-Saxon bone tapestry needle. At one end, the needle retains the original shape of the bone, and has a hole pierced through it. The needle tapers to a sharp point at the other end. research as part of the Collections Information Programme highlighted that the unmarked needle on display in G25, Case 11 was likely the same specimen that had been given the accession number IPSMG: R.1979-114
