knife, throwing knife, yakoma sword

Throwing knife or sword, with a curved blade, decorated on one side with a geometric pattern. The wooden hilt is bound with a flat iron strip and cord. Associated with the Yakoma or Azande peoples.Referred to by Mrs Salmon as a "Ngala sword".
