ОписаниеThis is a freeze-dried specimen of a house mouse. Whilst they used to be common in people's homes, these mice are now more likely to be found in farm buildings, warehouses, sheds and garages. They eat grains, seeds, roots, fungi and insects. There is archaeological evidence that these mice were present in Iron Age settlements so would have been a familiar visitor to the homes of Roman Britain.
